SPEAKING SESSIONS

Day 2, 12:10 PM - 12:40 PM

Expanding the Context of Men’s Health to Transmasculine and Transfeminine Individuals

Objectives

1. Recognize that the context of gender identity and configuration of genital anatomy are important and operate on a spectrum. (Intersection of cultural safety as a practitioner, social constructs of gender and function of anatomical structures)

2. Trans men are men and Transfemme folks may have penises and/or prostates: we can be advocates for screening, we must understand how hormones interact to change anatomy/physiology and validate what folks call their own anatomy and how they use it.
