Dr. Rachel Worman, PT, DPT, PhD
Licensed Physical Therapist
Rachel is a licensed physical therapist (PT) and doctoral researcher from the United States (California) who has extensive dual training, clinical and teaching experience in both musculoskeletal and pelvic health physical therapy. She earned her PhD from the University of Queensland in Australia under the advisory team of Professor Paul Hodges, PhD and Ryan Stafford, PhD. Her doctoral research focused on pelvic health outcome measures and male pelvic health. She has published journal articles on the topics of muscle physiology, pelvic pain, men’s health and lifestyle medicine in addition to textbook chapters, including pelvic pain topics. She is currently a co-investigator on a Department of Defense grant for a randomized controlled trial studying pelvic pain utilizing measures she co-developed and investigated during her PhD candidacy. She has been an invited national and international speaker in her area of research and was recently appointed to serve as Chair of the Research Committee for the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. She holds two year-long post-graduate training certificates from the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy program at Folsom Physical Therapy, where she also trained, worked and taught.
